Mr. James “Jimmy” H. Hall Sr. of Ashburn, VA, passed away at home on June 11, 2012. Jimmy was born in Fairfax, VA, on Sept. 16, 1923, to the late John Harvey and the late Elsie Farr Hall. He was predeceased by a son, the late John H. Hall.

Jimmy lived all of his life in Loudoun County and spent most of his life working on a dairy farm, except for when he served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during WWII.

Jimmy was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 65 years, Thelma Cockrell Hall; five sons, James Jr. and wife Nancy of Harpers Ferry, WV, Billy of Gainesville, Roger and wife Helen of Leesburg, Rocky and wife Cathy of Harpers Ferry, WV, and Tommy of Ashburn; a sister, Doris; and two brothers, Ernest Eugene Hall and Barry Denton Hall. He also leaves 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle SE, in Leesburg. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday, June 15.

Interment will follow in Sterling Cemetery in Sterling.
