The 5th grade girls Loudoun Triple Threat (LTT) Dynamite went 4-1 at the 2012 AAU Virginia District Tournament.   The tournament was held at the Boo Williams SportsPlex in Hampton, VA on April 13-15, 2012.  This is the second consecutive Virginia District D-1 championship title for the Dynamite.

After losing the first game of the tournament against the Boo Williams Red Tide team in a close 27-24 match, the girls battled their way through an impressive 3-0 record in the next three games to earn a spot in the finals.  Coach Janine Wilden summarizes:  “The girls were amazing.  Having to fight through the tourney after losing that first game to earn a spot in the finals is not easy.  These girls were focused.  We are so proud of the teamwork, courage, and pride the team exhibited this past weekend”.  The Dynamite faced the Red Tide again in the finals, pulling off a 29-24 victory.
