StageCoach Theatre Company celebrated its first year anniversary on June 28, 2012. StageCoach has been thrilling Loudoun County and surrounding areas with murder mystery dinner theatre performances plus a selection of family shows written for children. Company owners, Terry Smith and Jerri Wiseman, are proud to have been able to successfully serve the local community with these original shows.

“We started our company to support local theatre artists. We are happy to have supported local playwrights and composers by paying royalties for their original works. We look forward to supporting more playwrights and acting professionals for many more years,” says Ms. Wiseman.

Local venues have also received benefits by working with StageCoach Theatre Company. “We are enjoying our partnership with StageCoach Theatre Company and the added programming for all ages that they have brought to our special venue,” says Andrea McGimsey, Executive Director at Oatlands. StageCoach Theatre Company is the official theatre partner of Oatlands, a local historical site located in Leesburg. StageCoach offers quality family entertainment onsite to encourage more people to visit the historical landmark and gardens.

Past performances have also been held at Vintage 50 in Leesburg, Joe’s Pizzaria in Sterling, The Old Brogue in Great Falls, and Doukenie Winery in Purcellville.

New events continue to be added to the theatre company’s calendar. Most recently it launched Murder Mystery Wine Tours, which take participants to three Loudoun County wineries for wine tastings while they try to work out whodunit in an original murder mystery puzzle. The latest murder mystery dinner theatre production, “Killer Harmony”, is currently in rehearsal with shows scheduled for July and August. Auditions for “The Marriage of Maid Marian: Tales of Robin Hood” will be held July 6^th and 7^th for September performances.  More information is available on their website www.stagecoachtc.com for all upcoming events.
