Absentee Voting Underway in Loudoun County
If you've got a valid excuse, you can vote before Nov. 6 in person at the elections office, at satellite offices or by mail.
Absentee voting is already underway in Loudoun County, via in-person and mail-in-ballots.
If you want to vote in person at the Voter Registration Office, 750 Miller Drive, S.E., Suite C, in Leesburg, you can go:
- Between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, from now until Oct. 19.
- From 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, between Oct. 22 and Nov. 2.
- From 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Oct. 27 and Nov. 3
The county says starting Oct. 22, residents can also vote in-person absentee at the Dulles South Multipurpose Center, 24950 Riding Center Drive in South Riding, and Cascades Senior Center, 21606 Whitfield Place in Sterling.
The schedule for those two locations is:
- 4 to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, between Oct. 22 and Nov. 2
- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 27 and Nov. 3.
Not sure if you qualify? Among the most common excuses are if you are imprisoned and awaiting trial, if you're pregnant or "if you'll be working and commuting longer than 11 hours on Election Day, between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.," according to Loudoun County.
