Columbus Day will be observed on Monday, Oct. 8. As a result, town offices will be closed including all branches of Loudoun County public libraries. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday.

The Town Council work session has also been cancelled. They will meet for a public hearing on Tuesday beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Trash collection in the town of Leesburg will NOT be affected by the holiday. Customers are requested to place their trash at the curb after 4 p.m. on Sunday and before 6 a.m. on Monday.

Residential customers are reminded that extra yard waste collection days have ended. Yard waste is now collected only on regular recycling collection days.

Fall bulk leaf collection will begin on Monday, Oct. 22.
