CONTEST: Best Landscaped Yard, Garden in Leesburg

You have until 9 p.m. Sunday, April 29 to submit your entry.

Between the Flower and Garden Festival and Earth Day this past weekend, Patch felt it might be fun to spread some more "green."

Now through Sunday, April 29, Leesburg homeowners will have the chance to show off their yard work. If you think your yard contributes to the beautification of the town then we want to hear from you!

The criteria for the award includes that yards must be:

  • Generally free of trash and clutter
  • Grass, trees, shrubs and plants are well cared for and aesthetically-pleasing rocks, logs, short fences and decorative elements are in good condition and are well-placed
  • Flowers and vegetation are well-landscaped and make good use of color.

All you have to do is upload your image to this article, along with a caption that names your photo. Addresses are not required however you must send your information, along with a name and phone number to the editor at leah.kosin@patch.com.

After that, all you have to do is recruit your friends and family to vote in the comment section of this article. They MUST provide your photo's name so we know which image they are referring to.

Town residents can nominate their own or their neighbor’s yards for the award. The photo that receives the most comments/votes will win a gift card to Meadows Farms Nurseries. The contest begins now...goodluck!
