Former resident Elias Abuelazam, 35, is on trial this week, following an alleged 2010 stabbing spree in Michigan.
Prosecutors have accused Abuelazam of killing five people and seriously hurting nine others. Among them were two men and a teenage boy who were wounded in Leesburg, back in August 2010.
Abuelazam was arrested on Aug. 11, 2010, while he was trying to board a flight from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta to Tel Aviv, Israel, where he was born.
According to an article in the Washington Post, the trial centers specifically on the death of 49-year-old Arnold Minor, who was killed in front of a motorcycle shop near Flint. His DNA was found in Abuelazam’s SUV and in his luggage.
