Kirk Cameron Coming to Ashburn’s CFC
The former ‘Growing Pains’ star' tour focuses on strengthening marriage with ‘Love Worth Fighting For’
Marriage will be the topic Saturday at Christian Fellowship Church when former Growing Pains star Kirk Cameron brings his Love Worth Fighting For tour to Ashburn.
Cameron has undertaken the tour as part of his work with Feed Your Faith. The goal is to help keep marriages, and families, together through the gospel and faith.
“We are putting on an incredible event that is designed to fireproof marriages,” Cameron said in a YouTube video about the tour.
Fireproof is also the name of a movie in which Cameron starred. The movie focuses on a firefighter’s struggle with his marriage and “The Love Dare” that helps him save it.
Music will be provided by singer/songwriter Warren Barfield.
“We want to pull down as many barriers and walls that would separate us from coming together around the gospel for the sake of building up our marriages and our families,” Cameron said in the video about the event.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and the event runs from 6-9:30 p.m. Tickets cost $22.50 in advance or $25 at the door. Groups of 10 or more get a discount. VIP tickets may be purchased for $35. VIP ticket holders get a 30-minutes Q&A with Cameron before the event, VIP seating and a spot at the front of the post-event autograph line. Those who purchase VIP tickets can enter at 4 p.m.

I won't comment on Kirk, but I do find it interesting that people sometimes try to make marriage as a potential casualty of all sorts of things. My wife and I were once told that we'd end up divorced and never go on vacation again if we didn't buy a timeshare in Williamsburg. I think that was about 10 years ago. We didn't buy and we're still happy as can be.

Dusty, That was one sleazy salesman who told you that. Wonder how many times he has been divorced?
