As the Town elections are by statute nonpartisan, and I wish to serve on a nonpartisan Council for all the residents of Leesburg -- not by design opposing others simply because they are not aligned with my party, I did not seek the LCDC endorsement. I do, however, have the endorsement of several community leaders, some of whom are: Jeff Barnett, 10th Congressional District Democratic candidate in 2010; Rollie Winter, Virginia Electoral College Delegate for Obama 2008; Chuck Harris, former Loudoun County Board of Supervisors member; Tamar Datan, former Loudoun County Economic Development Chair; John Stevens, former Loudoun County Public Schools Board Chair; Shawn Mitchell, CEO of Modern Mechanical and former candidate for Virginia Senate; KD Kidder, Leesburg business owner, Photoworks; Robin Peacemaker, Leesburg Restaurant, Denise Osterhoudt, Images Hair Studio and Ron Campbell, CEO, College Business Concepts.
