Leesburg Ranks High as Best Place to Live in the U.S.
CNN’s Money Magazine recently announced that Leesburg was ranked the #4 Best Place to Live in the U.S.
CNN’s Money Magazine recently recognized Leesburg as the fourth best place to live in the United States.
“In my role as economic development manager, the CNN recognition is significant,” said Marantha Edwards, Leesburg’s economic development manager. “It reverberates that Leesburg is a formidable place to live - which is a key attractor for the business community. As a 40+ year resident -I'm proud to call Leesburg home.”
According to Money Magazine, “Leesburg offers plenty of good jobs not just in government but also in defense contracting, consulting and technology. Commutes can by abysmal. But residents say that the tradeoff to live in this pretty town, which has seen more history than a Ken Burns film, is worth it.”
Leesburg’s median household income of $128,595 is higher than the top three ranked cities. In addition the town’s job growth from 2000-2010 was 47.16 percent, outperforming the other top cities.
The criteria included education, quality of life, leisure and culture, weather, financial and housing.
Louisville, CO was ranked number one, Milton, MA number two, and Solon, OH number three. Other cities in Virginia include Herndon at 34, Montclair at 35, Oakton at 36 and Manassas Park at 56.

Double-edged sword. Keep developing, and "this pretty town" will be a thing of the past.
