Letter to the Editor: Holiday Coalition Says Thank You

With the help of the local community 1,207 families were served during the holiday distribution.

Dear Editor/Neighbors:

Do you remember receiving our newsletter a few months ago, asking for your support for the “Neighbors helping Neighbors” program?  Well, today we are writing for a different reason: “TO SAY THANK YOU TO ALL OUR COMMUNITY SUPPORTERS!!”

The holiday season is a time for sharing and caring. Once again, the community united together to “Brighten Up the Holidays” for our friends and neighbors in Loudoun County. Churches, schools, businesses, youth groups, clubs and civic organizations, and many, many concerned individuals gave generously to make the Community Holiday Coalitions’ 16th Annual Holiday Store a big success.

We were able to serve 1,207 families at the distribution. Thanks to donors like you, the Holiday Coalition provided more than 2,600 children with new toys, clothing, filled stockings and much more! Over 220 seniors were provided winter warmth clothing and blankets and 159 adults with disabilities were also provided with winter clothing and more.

Once again, we wish to express our THANKS to all of the Donors, Volunteers and Supporters of the Holiday Coalition program. With your help we truly made a difference in the lives of many individuals, families and children in our community this past holiday season.
