Loudoun Green Drinks at Clyde’s
The local chapter of the environmental meets twice a month in Ashburn and Leesburg.
The next Loudoun Green Drinks event, featuring Don Sandros, is planned at Clyde’s Willow Creek Farm tonight at 6:30 p.m. and will focus on solar energy and incentives for investing in it.
Loudoun Green Drinks, a social group that gets together to discuss sustainability and environmental issues, has planned presentations about geothermal, solar and the organic care of fruit trees. Green Drinks is an international group with ten chapters in Virginia, including neighboring chapters in Warrenton and Arlington.
The purpose of Green Drinks is to provide a social network for those interested in sustainability and environmental issues. Members share their knowledge, learn from others, and try to make their lives a little “greener.” The membership represents an array of perspectives, from local green business owners, farmers and garden hobbyists to local environmental nonprofits and those in state and local government.
Loudoun Green Drinks meets every second Thursday of the month, alternating between Vintage 50 in Leesburg and Clyde’s in Ashburn. Raffle prizes are sometimes donated by local businesses, Loudoun County and local nonprofit organizations. Meetings are open to all. Just ask the restaurant hostess for the Green Drinks table.
