Mark Gunderman Recognized by Town Council

Council members presented him with a certificate of appreciation on Tuesday.

The Town Council presented a certificate of appreciation to local resident Mark Gunderman on Tuesday. He was recognized for his involvement in the Good Shepard Alliance, community prayer, and volunteer work, among other things.

Following the presentation of the resolution, Councilman Marty Martinez commended Gunderman for all of his work.

“Since I have been on council, Mark has worked throughout the county to provide a sanctuary for the homeless.  Even when he has met resistant he didn't let it stop him,” Martinez said. “Several families and homeless men and women in the town of Leesburg have benefited from his work. Many families have found hope in the work he does. I find his tireless work for the families in need inspiring.”

Gunderman accepted the resolution alongside his wife and daughter. He is a frequent blogger for Patch
