The Thomas Balch Library Advisory Commission is seeking nominations for the 20th annual Loudoun History Awards.

This annual event honors individuals who have made "significant contributions to preserving Loudoun’s past through collection of county documents and memorabilia, preservation of historic landmarks, visual arts, writing and long-term involvement in local history organizations," the organization said.

Nomination letters should include

• A statement about the nominees’ accomplishments. 
• Newspaper articles, program announcements, publications, or other supporting information that demonstrate those accomplishments.

Contact information for the nominee and nominator must be included.

The deadline for nominations is Oct. 8. The Awards Ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 11 at the Thomas Balch Library.
