St. Francis de Sales Church in Purcellville begins work on new parish center.
St. Francis de Sales Church in Purcellville is about to get a whole new look.
Officials broke ground on a new parish center Thursday, which will feature 11 classrooms and a large 6,500-square-foot multi-purpose hall "that will be able to host basketball games, wedding receptions and other events," wrote John Merline, who was on hand for the event.
Construction is expected to take about a year.
