Patch Picks

Halloween is just a few weeks away. In this edition of Patch Picks, we get ready!

It's still the first half of Halloween, but Halloween events are already happening all over. In this week's edition of Patch Picks, we highlight some of the area's haunted happenings and give you a chance to get your costume ready for the big day!

Girls Gone Gorey with NOVA Roller Derby

Tonight, head over to Balls Bluff Tavern for Girls Gone Gorey, a Halloween party/fundraiser for NOVA Roller Derby. Hang out with some derby girls, have some drinks and wear your scariest costume - the first three zombies get in free. If you don't have a costume, derby members will be on hand to zombie you up. Have a great time tonight while supporting your local derby girls!

Shocktober

Paxton Manor seemingly prepares for this event all year, so why not go and see what it's all about? If you don't get enough zombie action at Girls Gone Gorey, never fear: This weekend is zombie weekend at Paxton's Shocktober. Roam the dark halls and terrifying rooms and see what fearsome creatures are waiting for you. Family-friendly events last until 6:30; after that, prepare to be terrified.

Leesburg Ghost Tours

If you prefer to learn a little history while being frightened, then Leesburg Ghost Tours would be a great event for you this weekend. Learn all about Leesburg's past while walking through downtown. Hear stories about paranormal activities and decide for yourself whether or not you believe in ghosts.

Green Halloween Costume Swap

If all of these events have gotten you in the mood for the big day, then go down to Broadlands on Sunday for their Green Halloween Costume Swap. Donate previous year's Halloween costumes and maybe find something fantastic for this year. Halloween is only two weeks away, so get ready!
