The Leesburg Executive Airport hosted its third annual airshow on Saturday, drawing thousands of people to the event that showcased a variety of World War II-era aircraft, such as a P-51 Mustang, a T-6 Texan, a Fairchild PT-19 and a Spitfire fighter.
In addition, Blackhawk (UH-60) and Lakota (UH-72) helicopters were on display. A C-17 Globemaster transport aircraft from Dover AFB, Del., performed a flyover prior to Kirk Wicker and his “Flying Farmer” routine, and wingwalker Jane Wicker and Charlie Schwenker’s gravity-defying performance in his Extra 300 airplane.
