Readers' Choice: Best Pizza in Loudoun County

Let us know where you think you can get the best pizza.

Update: You nominated fourteen restaurants across Loudoun County who make some of the best pizza within the local area. They have moved on to the voting round of Patch's Readers' Choice 2012.

Here's your chance to put your money (er -- vote) where your mouth is. Cast your vote now to help crown a winner.

Voting opens July 23 and continues through 11:59 p.m. Aug. 17. Only one vote per user — tell your friends and family to log on to pick their favorite, too!

Original: Cheese, pepperoni, peppers and onions, New York style or not – there are so many options when it comes to pizza toppings. But where do you find the best slice? Patch wants to know where to find the best pizza in Loudoun County.

Does your favorite place have a great deal, or really great crust? We want to know what you think. Nominate the pizza place you think should be crowned Patch’s Readers’ Choice Best Pizza place in Loudoun County in the comments section below.

We’ll keep accepting nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we’ll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.

All you need to do to nominate a business is to add it in the comments below. If you already see the business you want to nominate, make sure to add your comment about why it should be included, because we may not be able to add all businesses to our poll and we want to make sure the top ones make it into the poll.

Check out the other Readers’ Choice categories in Ashburn Patch and Leesburg Patch, too.

Thanks in advance for your participation.

And don’t forget to sign up for the Ashburn Patch Newsletter or the Leesburg Patch Newsletter to find out when voting starts so you can support your favorite business and see who wins.

Don't forget to check out our other Patch Readers' Choice categories here when you're done leaving your comment.

Sal's in Ashburn- when Sal is on the premises. When he is not, it's Pomodoro's- but only when you order by the pie, not the slice.
When Sal is not at his restaurant, his employees tend to goof off and the food is not as good, when he is around the quality goes up...way up. Plus, Big Sal is just a great guy to talk to.

Eric,

Yeah, but that's a big problem if the quality and service goes down when the Big Guy isn't there. I noticed the same problem and stopped going there a long time ago.

Jim, you are spot on! As for the Pomodoros, I have to say the one in Sterling is more consistent than the one in Ashburn, but they're both great

Fireworks on Harrison St. is by far the best, with Giovanni's No. 2. And this is coming from a longtime (former) New Yawker.

Can't believe The Don's Wood Fired Pizza in Sterling isn't in this poll. Blows away most of these other selections, except for maybe Fireworks.

I'm going to officially declare shenanigans on the late surge of Scottos votes on this thread. At one time, Scottos was pretty good. But, quality has declined, prices can be unreasonable, and the service in NOT as awesome as folks have claimed here. If you try and place an order, it becomes apparent that the staff certainly enjoys the oregano, if you know what I mean. Drive to Leesburg for Fireworks or try another local pie, and skip Scottos.

Has no one actually EATEN at Sal's? This is shocking. We are pizza lovers and try every (non mainstream) pizza place every time we move. Sal's is definitely the best, and I've had pizza in Italy! ;D

...this IS a taste competition, right? Maybe I don't understand the question?

I used to get Manhattan's. But it started to get disappointing. It's average - maybe a cut above Papa Johns. It grossed me out a couple of years ago when I had some at a friend's house. I refuse to get their pizza anymore.
