Readers' Choice: Mexican Restaurant

Tacos, tamales, flautas, burritos and more can be found all over Loudoun. Which restaurant is your favorite?

Update: You nominated seven restaurants across Loudoun County who make some of the best Mexican food in the local area. They have moved on to the voting round of Patch's Readers' Choice 2012.

Here's your chance to put your money (er -- vote) where your mouth is. Cast your vote now to help crown a winner.

Voting opens July 23 and continues through 11:59 p.m. Aug. 17. Only one vote per user — tell your friends and family to log on to pick their favorite, too!

Original: Some like it spicy.

Mexican restaurants in the Loudoun County run the gamut from mom-and-pop shops to regional and national chains, serving a wide variety of food from south of the border. Does your favorite place have cheap tacos or awesome mole sauce?

Patch wants to know which one you think should be the Readers’ Choice Best Mexican Restaurant. Nominations are open countywide.

We’ll keep accepting nominations through July 9. After that, nominations will be closed and we’ll start the voting, so make sure to get in your favorites now.

All you need to do to nominate a business is to add it in the comments below. If you already see the business you want to nominate, make sure to add your comment about why it should be included, because we may not be able to add all businesses to our poll and we want to make sure the top ones make it into the poll.

Check out the other Readers’ Choice categories in Ashburn Patch and Leesburg Patch, too.

Thanks in advance for your participation.

And don’t forget to sign up for the Ashburn Patch Newsletter or the Leesburg Patch Newsletter to find out when voting starts so you can support your favorite business and see who wins.

Caliente's in Brambleton. It's one of my favorite restaurants. The food is good, the kids' menu has a great selection, and it's a great location!

Los Toltecos! Not a fan of Caliente since I got food poisoning 2 times while there. I did hear that the food is SO much better with the new owners though.

There isn't much by way of authentic Mexican food here. Los Toltecos in Sterling is my go-to but Cerra Verde in Sterling is very good, but inconsistent.

Del Rio - got sick after eating there once - haven't been back. Anita's is Americanized Mexican food, which is fine. Their breakfast burritos are tops. Los Tios has killer margaritas - ask for the Grande size - it will be plenty !

Del Rio is decent. They have a great lunch buffet which you never see in mexican restaurants. Anita's is gross...but they have a good breakfast burrito. Just my opinion!

Del Rio's seems to be the best in Loudoun. Have not tried the new Mexican place up on Belmonth Ridge & Sycolin yet

Growing up in Southern California I have had the pleasure of great Mexican food on almost every corner. There is NOTHING that comes close out here. Very sad indeed.

La Chocita Grill on Loudoun St. It's authentic and their pupusas rule!

La Chocita is a Salvadorean, restaurant, not a Mexican restaurant.
