Registration for Loudoun County Public Schools’ Summer in the Arts has opened and interested students must sign up by April 15.
Current fifth- to 11th-grade students are eligible for this program.
Summer in the Arts (SIA), an enrichment program sponsored by the school system, is planned to run June 17-28 at Briar Woods High School.
The program – which consists of workshops in the performing, literary, visual and creative arts – offers classes for a variety of ages, grade levels and experiences. During some workshops, students work in mixed-grade and mixed-ability groups, while others are designated by grade ranges.
Instructors for the workshops are chosen from Loudoun’s fine arts teachers in both public and private education.
The program concludes with an “Arts Explosion” and “Gallery Walk” from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, June 28.
