Financials:

Healthworks is funded in part through grants and corporate donations. There is an annual fundraising event called the Blue Jean Ball in October. 

History:

Healthworks opened in 2007 and is formerly known as Loudoun Community Health Center.  They recently opened their new offices in a brand new building in Leesburg at 163 Fort Evans Rd, NE.  Healthworks plans to have a grand opening celebration in March.

In the new building, there are plans to significantly add to the current services.  There are an additional 18 exam rooms.  They will have a new dental program, a pharmacy, an optometrist and behavioral health specialists in addition to the current services.  Healthworks accepts Medicare, Medicaid and has a sliding pay scale for people who have health insurance. 

They are run by a paid staff, not volunteers.

What you can do to help:

"We are looking for volunteers to get the word out about what we do," said Caroline Toye, Community Fundraising Manager for Healthworks.

"Along with all of the new services we are also planning healthy living events such as Healthy Weight Week in January to promote healthy lifestyles and living," Toye added.

"We are also looking for donors for our donor wall in the new building so we can raise money to hire more doctors, which will provide more services to people," Toye said.
