The Leesburg Police Department is continuing their investigation of what may be the suspicious death of a Hispanic woman in her early twenties.

Her body was found inside of an apartment located at The Fields of Leesburg, in the 800 block of Edwards Ferry Road NE in Leesburg.

According to Master Police Officer Christopher Tidmore, police were alerted by concerned relatives of the victim around 12:40 a.m. Friday morning. No contact had been made with the victim within the last few days.

The incident is under investigation at this time by the Criminal Investigation Section of the Leesburg Police Department. In addition, this is an isolated and contained incident and police say there is no threat to the public or the community.
