Original: Suspicious Package Found at Shenandoah Building

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene of a suspicious unattended package at the Shenandoah Building just off Edwards Ferry Road at 102 Heritage Way NE, near the Walmart, in Leesburg.

The package was reported at 10:24 a.m., according to the sheriff's office. No other information on where exactly the package was located or how it was delivered is available at this time.

As a precaution, personnel from the building — which houses some of the county government's human service agencies — have been evacuated and the building is currently being searched. Members of the Loudoun County Bomb Squad have responded to the scene.

Residents should avoid this immediate area until emergency personnel have cleared the scene.
