The Great Escape
Enjoy chocolate, dancing and champagne - all for a good cause.
Valentine's Day may be over, but that doesn't mean there isn't more chocolate to be eaten. Instead of picking over the discounted Whitman's Samplers at the grocery store, you can head out to the 23rd Annual Chocolates Galore and More event on Friday, February 18.
The fundraising event is held by the YMCA and is the source of most of the funding for Loudoun County's Building Bridges program. Building Bridges offers scholarships and financial assistance to families for child care, camp, counseling and social services.
Chocolates Galore and More will feature both dessert and hors d’oeuvres competitions with dishes from such local favorites as The Restaurant at Powtomack Farm and Market Salamander.
There will also be both silent and live auctions, giving you a chance to win dinners, spa packages, and other treats to pamper yourself. Enjoy champagne and dancing all night while you indulge in delicious local foods and help out a good cause.
The event will be held at the National Conference Center, and hotel accommodations are available at a special YMCA rate. Advance event tickets are $70 for reserved seats and $60 for general admissios. They will be $70 at the door. For more information, visit YMCA's website.
