1. Acoustic on the Green returns at 7 p.m. Saturday at 25 W Market St, Leesburg, VA. This week's concert features Leesburg resident Don Chapman. The Town of Leesburg says "Don Champman brings his solo acoustic act of classic rock, pop and originals to the AOTG stage. With over 25 years of professional musical experience as a solo artist and in bands including touring, recording, composing and performing regionally, Chapman is a musical fixture and local mainstay in the Washington, D.C. metro region."
Picnics are encouraged, the town says, but no smoking, alcoholic beverages or pets are permitted. The event is free.
3. The Dog Days Peach Festival kicks off at 9 a.m. Saturday at 18780 Foggy Bottom Rd, Bluemont, VA . The festival "provides dog lovers with an opportunity to share a day of canine fun with their pets. Special events include a dog agility course, K-9 nose work, Doggie Olympics and a performance from VA Foxtrotters that will make you bark." Of course, owners will also get to pick some peaches. $10.
4. Summer may be winding down, but bike riding weather will last for months. A Basic Bike Maintenance Clinic at 11 a.m. Sunday at Transition Triathlon, 222 S King St, Leesburg, VA, will help keep you up to date on the road or trail. The clinic is free.
