Three Arrested in 'Smash and Grab' at Dulles Town Center

LCSO reports suspects in larceny at Fink's Jewelry store apprehended near Leesburg.

Three men were charged Thursday after allegedly using a "smash and grab" technique to break a glass case in a jewelry store in Dulles Town Center and take more than $100,000 in merchandise.

Deandre T. Magee, 22, of Hagerstown, Md., was charged with larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny. He is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.

The other two suspects, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old from Michigan, were charged with grand larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny and destruction of property. The pair remains at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said in a release Friday two men entered Fink's Jewelery Store, located inside the Dulles Town Center, around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

One of the men used "a small blunt object to damage a glass jewelry case," officials said. The second man took several high-cost watches from the case, and together, the pair fled the scene.

The watches are estimated at more than $100,000, officials said.

LCSO deputies responded to the store, and a lookout was issued to deputies on patrol in Loudoun County and surrounding jurisdictions.

As a result of the lookout, a LCSO deputy on patrol spotted one of the suspect's vehicles heading West near Route 7 and Battlefield Parkway in Leesburg.

After a traffic stop, they were taken into custody, officials said.
