Two Art Showcases Presented During Leesburg's First Friday

The Leesburg Arts & Cultural District hosted the event, which provided residents the opportunity to meet and a number of local artists.

The Leesburg Arts & Cultural District presented two new "The Best of Loudoun Performing Arts" and "Loudoun Artists @ Work" showcases during Leesburg's First Friday on May 4.

"The Best of Loudoun Performing Arts" showcase featured selections from The Three Quests of Princess Camilla as performed by the Stage Coach Theatre Company.

The "Loudoun Artists @ Work" showcase included Doris Kidder, Steve Loya, Catherine Obreza Fetterman, and Dave White, plus special guest artists Kevin Muller and Laurie Smith.

The Leesburg Arts & Cultural District was established in 2011 to provide certain incentives to artists and arts organizations looking to make Leesburg their home.  Incentives such as business and professional occupation license tax rebates, real estate tax rebates and zoning permit exemptions are offered.

Additionally, through the growth, expansion and concentration of arts uses, all businesses, residents and visitors will benefit from the overall vitality of the district over time through various events and programming. For more information, visit the Town of Leesburg's website
