Helping Adults with Autism

Legacy Farms Needs Dirt!

My name is Patrick Cox and I represent the people of Legacy Farms, a local non-profit seeking to provide long term residential and vocational solutions in a farmstead setting for adults with autism and other developmental challenges. This Saturday, we plan on breaking ground for Legacy Garden ( a community garden built and maintained by and for local adults with developmental challenges such as autism and aspergers). The garden is on a private lot in Leesburg and we plan to use it as a way to call awareness to our cause, demonstrate how effective "Therapeutic Farming" is for adults with developmental challenges, and have a little fun with the local families who would like to get involved.

We need your help!

It turns out our original source of topsoil and compost is unreachable. This is important for a garden. We do have other tasks that need to be fulfilled, but planting this garden is a huge ordeal for those who have volunteered their time and are looking forward to getting a little dirty.
