Local Resident Opens FirstLight HomeCare in Northwest Virginia

FirstLight HomeCare, provider of quality, affordable, non-medical in-home care for adults, is now open in Winchester, VA. FirstLight HomeCare of Northwest Virginia is owned and operated by local resident Kendra Ghanbari, who has a passion for providing members of the community with quality, trustworthy in-home care services. Located in Winchester, FirstLight of Northwest Virginia is the first FirstLight location in Virginia and will service residents of Stephens City, Winchester, Berryville, Purcellville, Leesburg, Ashburn and Woodstock.

Prior to opening FirstLight of Northwest Virginia, Ghanbari spent three years working with Cintas Corporation as a sales team leader in Frederick, MD. Her family owns five FirstLight locations in Colorado, inspiring Ghanbari to open a location of her own. FirstLight has influenced her life, enabling her to take better care of herself, her loved ones and the community around her. Ghanbari is passionate about physical activity and enjoys running marathons and Tough Mudders. By opening FirstLight of Northwest Virginia, she is able to help the people in her community, providing them with quality, in-home care solutions.

Ghanbari will be joined at FirstLight by her friend and co-worker, Siona Escoto. Escoto will serve as FirstLight of Northwest Virginia’s Networker/Administrator. Before joining FirstLight, Escoto worked as a Licensed Medical Massage Therapist for eight years. She worked with a wide range of medical clients, including rehabilitation patients and senior citizens.
