PCF Battleground 2013 Engaged!

Piedmont Community Foundation is geared up for its PCF Battleground 2013 charitable golf tournament, set for September 21 and 22, 2013, at Evergreen Country Club. Interested golfers are invited. Threesome amateur golf teams will be paired with a local golf Pro from area clubs making for a great opportunity to see some of the local Pro talent in our region.  Two winning amateur teams scoring the best net and gross, will have the honor to decide the charitable vision of a $5,000 endowment acorn fund at the Community Foundation.  Last year’s amateur team leader winners, Mark Gerencser and Neal Gumbin, created funds to benefit Yellow Ribbon Fund and a donor advised fund, respectively.

“Our work is to build local endowment that will benefit Loudoun and northern Fauquier Counties forever.  Each fund is a reflection of each donor’s charitable wish,” stated PCF Executive Director Amy Owen.  “Our work is to be permanent stewards of that vision.”
