Step Sisters Announce April 5 Date for Ribbon Run

The Step Sisters are proud to announce their 7th annual Brambleton Ribbon Run taking place on Saturday, April 5th.  The event features a 5k, 10k and kids’ fun run and attracts approximately 2,000 runners and walkers to Brambleton’s town center.  Proceeds from the race directly benefit area breast cancer patients.  Individuals and teams wishing to register should visit www.BrambletonRibbonRun.com.

Founded in 2005, the Step Sisters work to improve the quality of life for those impacted by breast cancer.   Each year, the Step Sisters hold several fundraising events with the Ribbon Run being the largest.  To date, the organization has raised over $500,000.

Earlier this month, the Step Sisters announced a major change in its mission.  Money now raised by the group will directly fund needed services for area breast cancer patients.  After partnering with Inova Loudoun Hospital as well as several local vendors, the Step Sisters are able to provide transportation, fresh food delivery and house cleaning for those undergoing treatment for the disease.
