Thank you, Pumpkin Spice Latte, for making life a little warmer.
I do not consider myself a cynic, but I have come to rely on very few things in life. For instance, my husband, the change in season, a few close girlfriends and Starbucks.
Thank you for your reliability, Oh Bringer of Morning Joy. If humans are creatures of habit, Starbucks is my daily fix.
They are always open when I need them to be, with the same beverages and atmosphere I have come to rely on. Starbucks has integrated itself into my life, for only $4.50 a beverage. It’s a small price to pay for faithfulness, don’t you think?

And as I reach for my jacket and boots this fall, Starbucks reintroduced the the pumpkin spice latte, a crucial accessory to my autumn wardrobe. The pumpkin spice latte makes the cold chill bearable, even welcome!
Some people despise Starbucks for its generic, predictable and corporate nature. I don’t mind that in the least. Just give me my Pumpkin Spice latte when the weather turns.
