Economic Development Moves Forward in Martinsburg

Officials in Martinsburg, West Virginia, where Arcadia Springs is located, are taking steps to bring more economic growth to the city. An economic development strategic plan is being laid out for Martinsburg, and will set the municipal home rule as a priority. According to the Herald Mail, “home rule allows cities to come up with their own ways to reduce taxes, streamline regulations, collect delinquent fees, and target abandoned and blighted buildings.”

Martinsburg is a great town as is, and many city leaders recognize this as well. However, many also believe that there is plenty of room for growth and improving upon the community. The potential for further economic progress in Martinsburg is vast, and the outlook is overwhelmingly optimistic. Along with the push for home rule, the development strategic plan will lay out what actions the city needs to take regarding schools, businesses, and leadership over the next five years.

This type of devotion to one’s hometown is why we choose cities like Martinsburg to build Arcadia homes. We want only the best for our homeowners. And, by developing affordable communities in thriving and growing locations, we are providing more ways for families to live in a great town they desire.
