Dry Mill Road Reopens Monday Afternoon
The Virginia Department of Transportation will reopen Dry Mill Road to traffic Monday afternoon after the area suffered severe water damage June 12.
The Virginia Department of Transportation plans to reopen Dry Mill Road to traffic Monday afternoon 11 days after flooding damage removed ground from under the roadway.
The section of road has remained closed for repairs between Woodburn and Thomas Mill Roads since June 12. Serious water damage from heavy rains caused damage to an undermining where a 48-inch water pipe is located.
Until roads reopen, officials recommend using this detour via Woodburn Road, Harmony Church Road and East Colonial Highway (Rt. 7).
