Photos: Flooding Closes Parts of Route 7, Other Roads

"Turn around, don't drown." Authorities warn not to drive into flooded areas.

Some roads in and around Leesburg are closed Thursday night due to flooding caused by excessive rain the past 24 hours.
A Flash Flood Watch issued by the National Weather Service is in effect for the area until midnight.


The latest from the Virginia Department of Transportation shows the following roads closed due to flooding:

Rt. 699N (Loudoun County) at Dry Mill Rd
