Leesburg, Ashburn Connections to Roll for the Gold

Annual Easter Egg Hunt also raises awareness about childhood cancer.

The annual Roll for the Gold Childhood Cancer Easter Egg Roll is set to run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the grounds of the Washington Monument in downtown DC, and Loudouners, local connections make it particularly special.

Leesburg resident Gabriella Miller, a 10-year-old brain cancer patient, will speak during a ceremony at 12:30 p.m. .

In addition, Ashburn resident Taylor Love, 13, who also suffers from a form of cancer, plans to attend the event today, according to her Facebook page
