Moose Lodge and Riders Club Donate $1,300 to Leesburg

The donation, which was made on Friday, April 13, will be used towards the purchase of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) at Freedom Park.

The Leesburg Moose Lodge #1041 and Moose Riders Club were part of the Town Council’s discussion Tuesday night. Both groups recently made a donation in the amount of $1,300 to the Department of Parks and Recreation. 

“That’s what our lodge is about,” said administrator John Hines. "It’s about helping the community and making it a better place for people to live in."

The “Gift of Life” was made on Friday, April 13, towards the purchase of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) at Freedom Park.

In order to spend the funds for their intended purpose, the council had to appropriate them into the budget following the recent donation. Councilmembers approved the resolution unanimously.
