This Memorial Day weekend, we give you some options for fun in the sun.

Barbeque, running, and music. This weekend, the area has lots of options for getting out and enjoying the holiday.

Get some exercise and support the Sterling Volunteer Fire Company on Saturday. Not only is there a 10k race and fun run, but you and your family can enjoy food and check out the rescue vehicles. The cost is $35/person the day of the race and $10/person for the fun run.

This Saturday, head out to Round Hill for some award-winning BBQ and homemade pies at Hill High Country Store. Best of all, you don't have to do the cooking!

At Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Sterling, you can enjoy Jimmy Gaudreu and Moondi Klein performing some of the area's best acoustic bluegrass. The show is from 7:30pm–9:30pm on Saturday night, and the price is $15/person. Children 12 and under are free.

On the fourth Saturday of every month, bird enthusiasts of all levels can enjoy a bird walk along the Virginia Bird & Wildlife Trail. This free event will introduce you to a variety of birds and their habitats.

Bring your favorite four-legged friend out to Loudoun Valley Vineyards in Waterford for a walk, music, and some wine. The event benefits the H.A.R.T. Foundation and takes place on Sunday at noon. The cost is $30.00 per Dog & Owner ($5.00 per additional owner).
