Plowman: Help Swift Family Recover from Fire

The Loudoun Commonwealth's Attorney's son is in the same Cub Scout troop as boys from home.

Loudoun Commonwealth’s Attorney Jim Plowman issued a request for the community to assist the Swift family of Potomac Station after they lost their home to a fire Thursday afternoon.

Plowman and the Swift family have children in Cub Scout Pack 998 together. Here is Plowman’s message and links where the community can help out:

I know it's been a while since you've heard from me and I try to keep political emails to a minimum, but I hope you'll read the information below and offer assistance.

Yesterday, tragedy struck our community when friends of ours lost their home to a fire. By the grace of God, everyone is safe.  The Swift family are residents of Potomac Station, our children attend school together and our boys are both Cub Scouts in Pack 998.

So many members of the community are pulling together to help this family with basic everyday needs that we all take for granted as they work to rebuild their home.

Below are two links to websites that have been set up to accept donations and provide information and updates as well.

Donations of clothing and gift cards are also being accepted in the Office at Tolbert Elementary

Anything you can offer will help and no amount of generosity is too small; it all adds up.  And most importantly, please keep the family in your prayers.
