The Great Escape

In this week's edition of The Great Escape, we welcome fall by celebrating the harvest.

As local farmers can attest, this is traditionally harvest time. While summer may be over, it's a time of new beginnings. Even if you don't have a tractor, you can celebrate this meaningful time of year by heading to Middleburg this week for their "Celebrate the Harvest Week."

Through September 18, local farms, wineries and roasters are teaming up with Middleburg restaurants to feature fresh, locally-produced food and drinks. Some of the restaurants participating include Goodstone Inn, Market Salamander, Red Fox Inn and Mello Out.

During this week, Middleburg is also going to be holding the first of their "Celebration Saturday" events. Similar to First Friday in Leesburg, Celebration Saturday will feature local musicians and deals at shops and restaurants. Celebration Saturday starts this Saturday and will be held the third Saturday of every month through the end of the year.

So this week, support Western Loudoun and experience all that Hunt Country has to offer by Celebrating the Harvest and Celebration Saturday.
