Release, Town of Leesburg:

The Virginia Tourism Corporation will bring its oversized LOVE artwork to Comfort Suites Leesburg on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, as part of a state and local partnership to promote tourism. The artwork will be featured at Comfort Suites Leesburg’s Bridal Open House on Sunday, April 6, 2014, from 12 pm to 5 pm. Comfort Suites Leesburg is located at 80 Prosperity Ave SE, Leesburg, VA 20175.

The artwork, which is 16 feet long and more than six feet high, is part of the Virginia is for Lovers campaign and promotes the message that “love is at the heart of every Virginia vacation.” LOVE will be on display at the Comfort Suites Leesburg until Tuesday, April 8, 2014. Visitors are encouraged to take a picture in front of the artwork and share it on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/VirginiaisforLovers or on Twitter, using the special hashtag #LOVEVA.

“Comfort Suites Leesburg is thrilled to have the LOVE letters for our Bridal Open House on Sunday, April 6th,” said Amy Cross-Monroe, Comfort Suites’ General Manager. “Loudoun County is the perfect destination for romantic get-a-ways and destination weddings. The County features more than 40 vineyards and 60 unique wedding venues. Many will be represented at our Bridal Open House, along with caterers, florists, day spas, photographers and other essential wedding vendors. Drop by, take your picture with the LOVE letters, and tour our newly renovated guest suites.”

More information about the Bridal Open House is available at www.comfortsuitesleesburg.com or on the Visit Loudoun website.

"The Comfort Suites team headed by Amy Cross-Monroe has done a fantastic job in partnering with VTC. What better match-up could there be than with the LOVE letters and a bridal event in Leesburg?" said Marantha Edwards, Leesburg’s Economic Development Director. “Brides, their families and guests love Leesburg as a venue and this is clearly a grand way to celebrate."

"Our iconic Virginia is for Lovers brand is about love - pure and simple, and has been for more than 40 years," said Rita McClenny, president and CEO of the Virginia Tourism Corporation. "We are excited to share the LOVE at locations throughout the Commonwealth where so many people can enjoy being a part of it. It reminds us that Virginia is an ideal destination for families looking to completely connect on a Virginia vacation."

Tourism is a major revenue generator for Virginia. In 2010, tourism generated $19 billion in revenue, supported 204,000 jobs and generated $1.3 billion in state and local taxes. Visit Virginia.org to learn more or call 800-VISITVA to request a free, Virginia is for Lovers travel guide.
