Bluemont BBQ Bash and Blackberry Bonanza
Bluemont BBQ Bash and Blackberry Bonanza
Join us for our newest and most exciting festival yet, our Bluemont BBQ Bash and Blackberry Bonanza on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Great Country Farms, Bluemont, VA! We are so excited to announce our First State Certified BBQ Competition with competitors arriving from all over the country! This event is a KCBS (Kansas City Barbecue Society) certified competition which means it is an official event, not a backyard BBQ.
The competition begins on Saturday and we have a jam packed calendar of events. Join us for our u-pick blackberries which will be at their peak. Our berries are thornless and trellised for easy picking and the best part, they are pesticide FREE! We will have our first Blackberry Bonanza Dessert contest; open to anyone who wishes to enter. Simply fill out the application at the bottom of this page which details our entry guidelines.

Our brand new market will be open featuring our sauces, dressings, and u-pick produce; our new cafe will be serving up some tasty treats; and Bluemont Vineyard will be open with wine-tasting, featuring blackberry wine, made from Great Country Farms’ blackberries.
