Ackerman to Step Down from Loudoun Schools Administration

After more than four decades in the system, the former teacher plans to retire.

The announcement comes just two months after Superintendent Edgar Hatrick said he would retire at the end of the coming school year.

The news comes as students prepare to head to the first school day of the year Sept. 3 and as parents get ready to head to open houses and back-to-school nights.
