Donations of non-perishable food and goods will be collected in lieu of admission to be distributed through Interfaith Relief. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
“Especially this year as the holidays approach, we wanted to offer a way for people to reach out to those who are in need of assistance,” said Rich Williams, director of Leesburg’s Parks and Recreation Department. “We encourage everyone to come enjoy a night of dancing and do a world of good.”
The three hour event starts at 7 p.m. with an introductory Rumba lesson. Mixed dancing will begin at 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. Dance exhibitions will be given by Instructor Jason Conrad and students from the Ida Lee dance programs. Beginners are welcome and the event is suitable for both singles and couples.
