6th Annual Charity Dance and Food Drive Tonight at Ida Lee

The charity dance will support Loudoun Interfaith Relief, the largest and only nutritious food pantry in Loudoun County.

The Town of Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with to offer its 6th  annual charity dance and food drive at Friday evening from 7 to 10 p.m.

Donations of non-perishable food and goods will be collected in lieu of admission to be distributed through Interfaith Relief. Monetary donations will also be accepted.

 “Especially this year as the holidays approach, we wanted to offer a way for people to reach out to those who are in need of assistance,” said Rich Williams, director of Leesburg’s Parks and Recreation Department. “We encourage everyone to come enjoy a night of dancing and do a world of good.”

The three hour event starts at 7 p.m. with an introductory Rumba lesson. Mixed dancing will begin at 8  p.m. until 10 p.m. Dance exhibitions will be given by Instructor Jason Conrad and students from the Ida Lee dance programs.  Beginners are welcome and the event is suitable for both singles and couples.  

Loudoun Interfaith Relief is the largest and only nutritious food pantry in Loudoun County. They serve local clients by providing the food necessary to prepare three balanced meals a day for three days for any size family.
