Hobby Lobby Celebrates the Opening of Its New Leesburg Store Today

The arts and craft store's sixth location in Virginia will be at Route 15 and Fort Evans Road.

The Hobby Lobby, a private arts and crafts chain, has planned a grand opening celebration today, Sept. 16, at its new store in Leesburg. A ribbon-cutting ceremony with officials from Leesburg and the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce is set for 9 a.m.

The store – a 45,000-square-foot facility at Route 15 and Fort Evans Road – marks the company’s sixth location in Virginia.

“Each new Hobby Lobby location contributes to increased foot traffic, generates sales tax, and adds new jobs that enable us to become an integral part of the community while sharing in the growth of both the city and the state,” said John Schumacher, Hobby Lobby’s assistant vice president of advertising, in a statement provided by the town.
