Inova Loudoun Donates $100,000 to Free Clinic

Clinic serves Loudoun's uninsured, has served more than 2,400 patient visits

Loudoun Inova Hospital recently donated $100,000 to the Loudoun Free Clinic in Leesburg.

The clinic has operated since 2002 under the Catoctin Foundation, providing medical care to Loudoun residents, more than 11 percent of whom are uninsured, according to Erin Smith, board chair of the Loudoun Free Clinic.

She said patient visits had nearly doubled from 2009 to 2010, and in the first six months of this year the clinic received more than 2,400 patient visits.
