Ironwood Tavern Comes to Leesburg

Mayor Kristen C. Umstattd officiated a ribbon cutting on Wednesday to officially welcome the new business to Leesburg.

A ribbon cutting was held Wednesday morning to celebrate the grand opening of Ironwood Tavern in Leesburg.

The new business highlights the art of cooking with wood to enhance bold flavors not found with other cooking methods. Menu prices range from $8 to $22 and incorporates local, seasonal products, such as beef, pork, poultry, seafood and fresh produce, and features two dozen craft beers.

Owner and Loudoun County resident Sam Avadhi worked with consultant Artie Simcox to develop the concept and design of Ironwood Tavern. Both men have extensive restaurant ownership and management experience.
