Kiwi Saw Shop Opens in Downtown Leesburg

The store provides sales and service for a wide range of power tools and small engine equipment while specializing in storm equipment.

A new power tool and small engine equipment shop that specializes in storm equipment celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday in downtown Leesburg.

Kiwi Saw Shop provides sales and service for a wide range of power tools and small engine equipment, including generators, mowers and snow blowers. They are an authorized Sales and Service Dealer for Dolmar, Kawasaki and Generac generators who also provides service for used Stihl equipment.

"We're excited to offer the residents of Leesburg a service that has been really very limited or lacking up until now," said owner Tom Bendien, adding that there are a number of products that his store carries, which should help residents during the upcoming fall and winter season.

Bendien said he is also focusing on assisting his customers with power tool safety training and education. He offers equipment rental, leasing, trade and consignment services.

Director of Economic Development Marantha Edwards said Monday that Bendien's service will fill a real need in Leesburg from both a residential and a commercial perspective.

His service delivery, hours and comprehensive service offering will be fully appreciated, she said, particularly after a serious storm when tree trimming and the need for generators is critical.
