Leesburg Business Awards Set for May 15

The annual Leesburg Business Awards ceremony is for Wednesday, May 15 at ProJet Aviation at Leesburg Executive Airport, where the town will recognize the business community, and particularly independent business owners, as the backbone of the community and the nation’s economy.

Eligible businesses and organizations must be primarily physically located within the corporate limits of the town.  Persons nominated for the George C. Marshall Award are not required to reside within the Town limits. Businesses that have been operating for 25 years or more will also be recognized at the reception as Leesburg’s Legacy Businesses. The town recently released the list of nominees.

"The businesses and individuals nominated for the 2013 Leesburg Business Awards represent our community's best loved, most innovative and exciting owners, operators and enterprises,” said Jim Sisley, chair of the Leesburg Economic Development Commission. “Beyond merely running or owning a business, these people have chosen to make a positive contribution to our quality of life in Leesburg."
