Nova Medical & Urgent Care Celebrates Grand Re-Opening

A three-month renovation and expansion project is finally complete. The Leesburg office celebrated with an open house and ribbon cutting on Wednesday.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Wednesday night to celebrate the grand re-opening of in Leesburg. The open house included tours of the newly renovated facility, which .

Public Relations Director Melanie Schmidt said that an additional 1,591 square feet was added to the office, which will help allow more services to become available.

There are three new treatment rooms and on-site digital x-ray services, she said. The local practice will also offer naturopathic medicine and acupuncture services to patients in addition to family and internal medicine, pediatrics, endocrinology, occupational health, and urgent care.

“Basically what we did is we took over the space next door, which was a dry cleaners, and we completely renovated and revamped this entire office,” Schmidt said. “We never really officially closed the office during the renovations but now it’s completely done and we’re just really excited to be able to share some of these integrative services.”

Founded in 1988 by the center is the largest integrative primary care practice in Loudoun County with locations in Leesburg, Ashburn, Sterling and Warrenton. A fifth office will open in Gainsville this June.

“I’m tremendously appreciative of what our patients and staff has gone through in keeping the doors open and still seeing patients with all of that going on,” Keenan said. “It’s a fun day for us." 

The medical group, a Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce 2011 Green Business Award recipient, also carried out its green efforts through the renovation by installing energy efficient lighting and green label certified carpeting, utilizing low VOC floor tiles and paint, and recycling at least 95 percent of all building materials from the site.

“Doctor Keenan and Doctor Connolly are really great health care practitioners and bring such a valuable and unique approach to healthcare in a sense that they’re really focused on the wellness of their patients,” said Tony Howard, President of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce. “Anytime there’s a business that’s opening their doors, getting better, or re-opening in this case, and investigating in their community, that’s a great thing and I really applaud that.”
